The ACA is a non-political, non-profit membership based organisation.
The ACA is an organisation akin to a “learned society”. Its members are drawn from a wide cross section of industries. The ACA’s members are united by their common interest – to reduce the impact of corrosion in Australasia.
The strength of the ACA lies in the great breadth of work interests, academic and industry training and expertise of its members who have a common interest and desire to be more effective in the fight against corrosion. Consequently, education and training, technical meetings, member networking opportunities, conferences, certification/accreditation and publications are regular and necessary activities to support the transfer of technical knowledge, as are regular contacts and exchanges with like-minded bodies in Australasia and internationally.
ACA’s members are based predominantly in Australia, New Zealand and the island nations that comprise Oceania. Increasingly, ACA’s members are global in their approach. Consequently, ACA’s membership from around the world is increasing.
