 OPERATIONS MANAGER FOR A COATINGS APPLICATOR (MELBOURNE)
We are a medium sized contracting company with a 27 year history specializing in the coatings industry. We currently have an even mix of protective coatings & architectural coatings projects.

Currently we are screening candidates to assume the role of our Operations Manager. This position is predominately Melbourne based with a mix of some regional works. This position requires an enthusiastic team member who can assume the responsibility of our projects from the time we receive a purchase order through to invoicing.

Thus this position needs an individual who can:

-         Analyse our Work Orders and client expectations to ensure smooth project delivery.
-         Conform to & help optimize our system of project documentation.
-         Identify risks or points of conflict and be able to manage and plan around them.
-         Manage trades staff by identifying individual strengths & weaknesses and utilizing them on the most appropriate projects.

This is a demanding role where the successful applicant will be supported with a great management team, existing systems & infrastructure.

The successful applicant should:

-         Have demonstrable contract management & reporting skills.
-         Have experience in developing site specific QA & Safety plans.
-         Be computer literate, with a good working knowledge of, Excel, Word and Outlook.
-         Have hands on experience in coatings application & mechanical understanding of the equipment used.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

API 5L Inspectors

Austhai Services Pty Ltd are currently seeking 3-4 inspectors with API 5L knowledge/experience for a long term project in NSW. Working at a production plant with a good pay rate, the starting date will be late Feb early March 2010. The job will go for about a year with day and night shifts (two inspectors per shift) of 6 day weeks and 12hour shifts.

Painting Supervisor Required

Great conditions with a Long term maintenance contract based at a Brisbane fuel refinery.

Candidate must be extremely safety conscious and be able to lead a team of painters.

Duties include reporting to the Project Manager of all site occurrences. Upkeep of daily site records.

Liaising with the client and sub contractors organising day to day work schedules.

Preferably the right candidate will have significant experience in Blasting / Painting, and a  sound knowledge of products, materials and equipment. Experience with Sheet metal and lagging and Asbestos removal ticket is an advantaged.

PROJECT MANAGER – SEALED STORAGE

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Bulkwest Engineering for a Project Manager - Sealed Storage.

As Project Manager – Sealed Storage you will play a vital role in the seamless day-to-day running of our on-site operational sealing teams with the objective of ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe manner. You will be in constant contact with sealing team members to assist in the planning and successful functioning of these resources as a key contributor to the Bulkwest Coatings business unit. 

The role will include but not be limited to:  safety, quality control & continuous improvement, labour recruitment, training and development; estimating; equipment & materials management; project planning & scheduling; procurement, budget and cost control.

Based out of Bibra Lake, the position also requires a minimum average of 3 days per week to be spent in the field, so being self motivated and happy to travel to work locations within the West Australian Grain Belt is mandatory.

What you’ll need:
•    Minimum 5 years experience in the heavy duty industrial / protective coatings industry
•    Good communication, organisational and personnel management skills
•    Knowledge of occupational Health & Safety Regulations
•    Knowledge of use and calibration of coatings inspection and test equipment is preferable
•    Ability to work at heights (EWP / Height Safety certification an advantage)
•    Current drivers licence
