Raed El Sarraf is a highly experienced structural and corrosion engineer with more than 20 years of international experience in asset integrity, durability design, and corrosion protection of steel structures. He has worked extensively across New Zealand, Australia, and internationally on major infrastructure assets including bridges, ports, rail structures, and complex steel buildings.

Raed has contributed to numerous industry design guides, standards, and technical publications, particularly in steel durability, protective coatings, and whole-of-life performance. Known for his practical, outcomes-focused approach, he works closely with asset owners and engineering teams to deliver durable, safe, and sustainable steel solutions. He is also actively engaged in advancing digital inspection methods, sustainability initiatives, and best-practice durability frameworks.

Ann Sheehan

Sustainability, Training and Technical Lead – Galvanizers Association of Australia

Ann Sheehan is the Sustainability, Training and Technical Lead at the Galvanizers Association of Australia, where she has held various roles since 2008. She is currently responsible for leading the Association’s activities in sustainability, operator training, and the development and maintenance of technical publications, along with answering technical questions from members and the public regarding all aspects of hot dip galvanizing and corrosion protection of steel.
