CCI Frequently Asked Questions
Who is entitled to member registration on CCI training courses?
If you are an ACA member you may register for any CCI training course at the member rate. If you are an AMPP member, you may register for any AMPP training course at the member rate. If you are not a member, you may either register at the non-member rate or sign up to become a member – you can sign up to become an ACA member here.
What are the requirements for achieving CCI level 1 & 2 certifcation?
To be certified as a Concrete Coating Inspector (CCI) Level 1
You must successfully complete the training course, including both practical and theory exams. And Ethics for the Corrosion Professional course or an equivalent training.
To be certified as a Concrete Coating Inspector (CCI) Level 2
You must successfully complete the training course, including both practical and theory exams. As well provide 2 qualification references and have 2 years (3,000 work hours) verified experience.

What happens if I do not pass my CCI practical exam?
If you are unsuccessful in your practical exam, you may decide to re-sit the exam, ideally with the next scheduled course. Otherwise proctoring and coordination fees will apply on a case-by-case basis. If a satisfactory result is not achieved the whole course will need to be repeated. You will be entitled to a 20% discount if the second course is completed within a year of the first course. otherwise, full fees apply.
What happens if I do not pass my CCI theory CBT exam?
Students who are unsuccessful on the theory CBT exam you can register with Pearson VUE to resit the exam at any time. Appointments are based on Pearson VUE scheduling. The cost for this is $285 inc. GST paid directly to Pearson VUE.
They must wait 30 days for a retake of the exam. If the second attempt is failed, you must wait 120 days after the second attempt. If all three attempts are failed, they must completely start over with a full course registration.
How do I find my AMPP results?
All AMPP students will have access to their results, details and certification through My Certification Portal – AMPP. Results should be available around a month from completion.
What happened to SSPC and NACE?
SSPC and NACE merged in 2022 to become AMPP. Any SSPC or NACE training courses have since become AMPP.
