I wish to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Murry McCormick and I have been elected as the new Queensland Branch President for the coming year.
I have benefited greatly from my membership of our organisation over the past 30 years. It is the benefits of membership that I wish to share and enhance for members this year.
On behalf of the Committee and membership, I wish to thank Nick Doblo (out going President) for his service to the association and the Qld Branch. Nick has taken a role to work towards the next conference to be held in Queensland in a couple of years’ time. We wish him well.
The following members were elected. I wish to congratulate them on being elected and thank them for their service. I look forward to working with them to serve the Queensland membership.

I wish to extend an open invitation to all members to attend all committee meetings. They are generally held on the first Monday of the month at the Queensland Maritime Museum, starting at 6pm.
As a committee, we are striving to provide technical and social events for members. I therefore seek your support in elevating the member experience this year.
