The ACA is pleased to announce that Kingsley Brown has been appointed to the position of Board Chair for 2024. A long-time member of our association, Kingsley has served as an ACA director from 2014-2021, before rejoining to fill a casual vacancy in 2023.

Kingsley Brown, new ACA Board Chair.
Welcome Dr Nick Birbilis who was elected to the ACA Board in November 2023. Alongside his academic career in corrosion, Nick has over a decade of executive leadership experience in higher education, including research management, senior administration and strategic implementation, and brings a wealth of experience to the ACA Board. Nick is a long-term ACA member, who has previously served as Victorian Branch President. In addition to Nick’s appointment, Scott Gaebler, Wayne Burns, and Kingsley Brown were also reappointed to the ACA Board in November.
Dr Patricia Shaw’s three-year term as director ended in November 2023. Trish joined the Board in November 2020 and has been an integral part of our Board over that time, serving as both Chair of the Finance Audit and Risk Management Committee, and as Vice Chair of the Board, in 2023. Thank you, Trish, for your contribution.
The ACA Board is also pleased to advise of the appointments of Isaac Isakovich as the ACA Council’s President and Raed El Sarraf as the ACA Council’s Senior Vice President for 2024.
