This award is for a paper describing a corrosion problem, possible causes, and a solution for preventing the problem in future. It should describe the details of the failure, the cause of the failure based on evidence, and a solution or remedy.  The “Les Boulton Case Study Award” appreciates the life and work of Les Boulton, who served the corrosion industry as a scientist and consultant for more than 50 years. The recent renaming comes after a recommendation from the ACA Awards Committee.

The Les Boulton Case Study Award is determined by the Awards Committee. Submissions for abstracts open following the conclusion of the year’s previous conference and the final date for paper submissions is the end of May prior to the coming Conference.
