Eligibility and Application
As a member of the Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA), you are responsible for understanding and fulfilling all eligibility requirements for your chosen membership type.
As a member, you acknowledge that membership is voluntary and not a requirement for accessing any services or benefits provided by the ACA, except for individuals specified in Section 4.
Membership Types and Benefits:
Individual Standard Individual Membership
This membership is designed for individual members and includes full access to ACA resources and member benefits.
Individual members receive invoices addressed to their personal address and details as provided. There is no option to reassign these invoices to a corporate account, as this option is a benefit exclusive to corporate memberships.
Individual Retired Membership
Retired members retain their involvement with the ACA at a reduced capacity while continuing to enjoy the benefits of Standard Individual Membership. This option allows ongoing engagement without the full obligations of regular membership.
Individual Student Membership
Available to full-time or part-time students who are not in full-time employment.
Open to any secondary or tertiary student, including those in master’s and PhD programs.
Proof of current enrolment status and institution must be provided annually.
Student members do not have voting rights at ACA or branch meetings but may access benefits as determined by the Executive Officer.
Corporate Bronze Membership
Includes (3) three delegates with full individual membership benefits.
Provides (2) two additional Young Corrosion Group (YCG) delegates. (YCG delegates must be 35 years or younger and in the early stages of their corrosion career.)
Access to exclusive ACA resources and member-priced discounts for training, events, and conferences.
Priority consideration for annual branch partnership opportunities, with accompanying sponsorship benefits.
Recognition at the Corrosion & Prevention Conference and Awards Dinner.
Corporate Silver Membership
Includes (5) five delegates with full individual membership benefits.
Provides (3) three additional YCG delegates.
Access to exclusive ACA resources and the Corrosion & Materials journal (quarterly).
Priority consideration for branch partnership opportunities and sponsorship benefits.
Recognition at the Corrosion & Prevention Conference and Awards Dinner.
Corporate Gold Membership
Includes (8) eight delegates with full individual membership benefits.
Provides (5) five additional YCG delegates.
Access to exclusive ACA resources and the Corrosion & Materials journal (quarterly).
Permission to use the ACA Corporate Member logo for promotional purposes.
Listed in the Corrosion Control Directory with a link to the organisation.
Priority consideration for branch partnership opportunities and sponsorship benefits.
Recognition at the Corrosion & Prevention Conference and Awards Dinner.
Corporate Platinum Membership
Includes (12) twelve delegates with full individual membership benefits.
Provides (10) ten additional YCG delegates.
Access to exclusive ACA resources and the Corrosion & Materials journal (quarterly).
Permission to use the ACA Corporate Member logo for promotional purposes.
Listed in the Corrosion Control Directory and Corporate Members Page, with a link to the company’s website.
Access to advertising discounts and exclusive sponsorship opportunities.
Priority consideration for branch partnerships, including a complimentary exhibition at branch events.

Corporate Diamond Membership
Includes (30) thirty delegates with full individual membership benefits.
Provides unlimited YCG delegates.
Access to exclusive ACA resources and the Corrosion & Materials journal (quarterly).
Permission to use the ACA Corporate Member logo for promotional purposes.
Listed in the Corrosion Control Directory and Corporate Members Page, with a link to the company’s website.
Priority access to advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
Includes a complimentary exhibition at branch events, along with enhanced sponsorship benefits.

Mandatory ACA Memberships
The following individuals are required to hold an ACA membership in order to continue being part of the ACA community:

Young Corrosion Group
YCG members must be 35 years old or younger.
YCG members receive the same benefits as full delegates in a corporate membership and must be assigned by the management contact.
YCG is not a standalone membership type. To join YCG, individuals must be members of the ACA.
Refunds
Applying for a membership type for which you do not meet the eligibility criteria will not entitle you to a refund of the application fee. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet all requirements before applying.
Refunds will not be issued for a change of mind. By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you understand the benefits and conditions associated with your chosen membership type. It is your responsibility to review these details before completing the application.
Mode of Payments and Invoice
There are two available payment methods for membership fees:
▪Online Card Payment
▪Bank Account Transfer
Invoices for individual memberships must be addressed to the individual and cannot be addressed to a company or business. For corporate memberships, invoices should be addressed to the company name and the designated management contact.
Use of Portal
The portal is available to all active members, allowing them to view upcoming events and training sessions, update their personal details, and make payments for membership, events, and training.
As a designated management contact for a corporate membership, you will have access to the information of all members included under the corporate account.
Access to the portal will be deactivated 90 days following the expiration date of the membership.
Updating Members in a Corporate Membership
The management contact for a corporate membership may change designated members within a membership year, provided that the member being replaced has not utilized any benefits of the ACA during that time.
Intellectual Property
All technical and conference papers, as well as materials in the technical library, are the intellectual property of the Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) or their respective authors and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
Members are granted access to the technical library for personal use only and must not reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any materials without prior written permission from the ACA or the copyright holder.
General Provisions
Membership terms and conditions are subject to change at the discretion of the ACA. Members will be notified of any changes that may impact their membership status or benefits.
The ACA reserves the right to verify membership eligibility and request additional documentation as necessary.
