Women in Corrosion

The ACA will be hosting it’s first-ever, ‘Women in Corrosion’ Breakfast. This event will take the form of a relaxed panel discussion with 6 superstar women in corrosion. Candice Blackney (Senior Engineer, Corrosion Management at City West Water), as MC, will  be facilitating a discussion around the panellists own unique experiences in their various sectors of the corrosion industry. This will be followed by an open forum, giving the attendees the chance to contribute to the discussion. All of this while you enjoy a delicious breakfast and the unparalleled views of Melbourne, from atop the tallest building in the city. This event is open to all delegates Male or Female. Applicator Day

Keeping the Operator Out of Harm’s Way Through Innovation

The ACA Applicators Day will be back, bigger and better than ever at C&P2019.  Brought to you again in partnership with BlastOne, the applicator day will see attendees first taking part in the Applicators Group Technical Forum at the conference Learning Centre  before heading offsite for a series of technical presentations and equipment demonstrations. The demonstrations are  developed to improve the safety of applicators, with a particular focus on solving unique problems with innovative solutions.

The ACA Applicators Technical Group represents the needs of specialist contractors in industries that serve the protection or restoration of corrosion affect structures throughout Australia and New Zealand. These include companies and individuals in; concrete protection, applied concrete floor finishes, concrete repair, hazardous coating removal, surface preparation and coating application.

Registration for this event is free and open to the public.

Corrosion and Prevention 2019 attracts a broad spectrum of industry-leading exhibitors, who share their newest developments and products with our attendees in the Conferences Exhibition Hall. The Exhibition hall will be open to the public throughout the Conference.

The Young Corrosion Group was set up to organise and run events of interest and value to young corrosionists and those new to the corrosion industry. The YCG provides a platform of access to information and networks which are of benefit to personal, professional or business development.

ACA Foundation Social Event

One of the most popular events on the Conference calendar. Guests can enjoy themselves with deluxe beverages and premium canapes and the chance to catch up with friends and colleagues in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
There is always so much to discuss after a huge first day of the conference and the Foundation Social Evening will be where many of the best conversations will be had. Don’t miss out on one of the most enjoyable events at Conference.

The funds from this event will all go to the ACA Foundation, and to funding their future initiatives, namely:

  • Providing money for eligible scholarships, bursaries and prizes
  • Promoting the education of a recipient of any scholarship bursary or prize in relation to approved courses
  • Making awards of scholarships, bursaries and prizes for reasons of merit or equity

ACA Awards Dinner

The ACA Awards Dinner is one of the most highly anticipated industry social events of the year. This year’s event will be held at the breathtaking Crown Aviary, a stunning rooftop terrace with spectacular views over the city skyline. Join us to celebrate the achievements of this year’s awards recipients with an evening featuring top-class entertainment, live music, gourmet food and wine from the region and plenty of opportunities to network and collaborate with your friends and colleagues.
