Wednesday evening June 24th saw over 60 corrosion enthusiasts gather to witness amazing footage captured by Chris and Allison Selman by whom have cleverly created a documentary called The Wreck Man. The story of Dr. Ian MacLeod, maritime archaeologist, and shipwreck conservator. In 2004 Dr Ian MacLeod was awarded the Corrosion Medal, a recognition bestowed by the ACA for his outstanding scientific and technical work in the field of corrosion in Australasia. Whilst in 2020 for his significant service to the museum and galleries sector Dr Ian was recognised with the medal of the Order of Australia.

The Queensland Branch of the ACA held its Annual General Meeting on the 15th March 2021 at the Easts Leagues Club. The formalities included the President, Murry McCormick being elected unopposed for another term, along with John Triebe as Treasurer, Wayne Thomson and Bob Phang as Councillors, John Triebe as Events coordinator, Javed Nadem as YCG coordinator, and Wayne Thomson as Membership officer.

On Friday 5th March 2021 approximately 40 corrosion enthusiasts attended the first social event for 2021 at Holey Moley – Northbridge for a fun-filled night of networking and mini-golf.
