The Australasian Corrosion Association’s primary event, Corrosion & Prevention 2021, is scheduled to be held in Newcastle from the 14th to the 17th of November. This year the conference boasts over 70 papers from Australasian and International presenters, plenary presentations from industry leaders, a trades hall with over 60 exhibitors, the third annual Applicator and Coatings Day, and a host of satellite events such as the YCG Social, The ACA Foundation Dinner, our Women in Corrosion Breakfast and our Annual Awards Dinner.
Throughout 2021, The ACA has maintained an active risk management approach for dealing with the impacts of COVID-19, particularly with respect to Corrosion & Prevention 2021. While our aim remains to deliver this year’s conference in-person to provide maximum value to all delegates, presenters, exhibitors and sponsors, we have prepared a number of contingency plans for various scenarios. With the evolving COVID situation across Australia, and in particular the host state of NSW, we are currently exploring a number of alternate scheduling and delivery options.
Corrosion and Prevention is the cornerstone of our Annual Calendar and its delivery and execution impact almost the entire scope of ACA activities. So, needless to say, this issue has the full attention of the team, and a detailed update will be provided by early September. Please be assured that if any changes to this event are required, we will immediately communicate this with our stakeholders.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Sponsors and Exhibitors for their support of Corrosion & Prevention 2021, and we look forward to seeing you all at the event.
