Corrosion Under Insulation – Research and Innovation
his webinar features two fantastic guest speakers, Dr Thunyaluk (Kod) Pojtanabuntoeng, discussing some of the Recent Developments in CUI Research from Curtin Corrosion Centre and joining us from the UK, Dr Prafull Sharma, Chief Technology Officer of CorrosionRADAR spoke about Corrosion Under Insulation Risk Analytics with Monitoring Systems using Electro-Magnetic Guided Radar (EMGR). Earlier this year (2021), CorrosionRADAR won the Materials Performance (MP) / Association for Materials Protection and Performance (formerly NACE) Corrosion Innovation of the Year Award for its ground-breaking Predictive Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) Monitoring System – a next generation technology solution that is transforming the global response to the enormous industrial challenges created by CUI.

2021 – Brian Cherry Awards Forum Final
The Brian Cherry Award Forum is open to postgraduate and final year undergraduate research students studying at an Australasian University. Applicants could be studying any aspect of corrosion, including but not limited to metallic and non-metallic corrosion, corrosion management, corrosion mitigation, and corrosion protection. Taking part in the Forum provides students with the opportunity to present their corrosion related research work as well as showcase their talent to their peers and the Australasian Corrosion Industry – including potential employers.

How to Conduct a Corrosion-related Failure Analysis
Conducting a root cause analysis to identify the exact cause of a failure of a material due to corrosion, and to determine appropriate remedies, requires a detailed and thorough analysis. Failure analysis experts can be involved at any point of a product's life cycle including the design, manufacturing, service, and ultimately, when a part of the product fails due to corrosion. In this article, Les Boulton gives a brief outline of the corrosion failure analysis process.

The ACA Now Registered With the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission
We have just received news from The Hon Dr Gary Johns that our application to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) has been accepted, and The Australasian Corrosion Association Inc. (ACA), the peak body for the Australian and New Zealand corrosion industry, is now an ACNC-registered Not-for-profit.

Congratulations to the winners of our RustyPics2021 Photo Contest: Daniel Lillas, Sanjay Choudhary, Muhammad Javed and Grand Prize winner Hoda Adelkhah and thanks for their fantastic submissions.
