Started in Mexico at the Mexican Petroleum Institute as a Graduate Corrosion Engineer, after four years, earned a scholarship to do an MSc course at UMIST (1986), which was extended for a PhD degree (1987-1991). After that, I worked in Mexico, Kuwait, Syria, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Kuwait, and Australia, all professional career working in the field of Materials and corrosion from Graduate to Principal or Lead Engineer.  Became NACE (now AMPP) Cathodic Protection Specialist (CP 4) in 1995.
