Event Summary

The Australasian Corrosion Association Northern Territory Branch, in conjunction with Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA), invites members and industry guests to attend an upcoming event at MMC’s facility, located at 27 Mendis Road, East Arm NT 0822.

The evening will feature keynote speaker Steven Camilleri from Speed3D, who will present an overview of Speed3D’s services, capabilities, and innovative technologies. His presentation will provide valuable insight into the company’s operations and its impact within the industry.

Attendees will also take part in a guided walkthrough of the MMC facility, with an MMC representative outlining current processes and projects while answering questions from participants. The evening will conclude in the sandblast bay/air-conditioned dome with a technical presentation.

Steven Camilleri | CO-FOUNDER AND CTO OF SPEE3D

Presentation Title: Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing as a novel manufacturing process.

Bio: Steve is co-founder and CTO of SPEE3D, an Australian high-speed, metal 3D printing company. SPEE3D developed the world’s first metal 3D printer leveraging supersonic 3D deposition technology to deliver manufacturing grade printing at production speeds. Steve, a holder of multiple patents, has a Masters degree in Engineering. Prior to founding SPEE3D, he co-founded In Motion Technologies, a Charles Darwin University spin-off launched to commercialize axial flux electric motors. In Motion Technologies was acquired by Fasco Motors, part of NYSE listed Regal Beloit. Steve’s product successes have included world record holding solar cars, innovative electric motors, electric bicycles and high efficiency pool pumps. Steve has a wide range of interests across many fields of manufacturing, science and engineering and speaks several languages.
