Event Summary
Join us for the ACA Victoria Branch Round Table Conference, a long-standing and highly anticipated annual tradition that has brought together the corrosion community for more than 60 years.
This flagship event continues to provide a valuable forum for industry professionals, researchers, asset owners, consultants and students to exchange knowledge, strengthen connections, and celebrate advancements within the corrosion sector.
We are delighted to welcome this year’s keynote speaker, Dr Bruce Ackland, with presentation details to be announced shortly.
Held at Plus 5 in South Wharf, Melbourne, the event offers the perfect setting for an evening of insightful discussions, professional networking, and camaraderie amongst colleagues and peers.

Keynote Speaker
Dr Bruce Ackland
Presentation Title: Travels and Trials of a Cathodic Protection Tragic
Bio: Bruce obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physics at Monash University in 1979 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 1984, also at Monash University in the Department of Materials Engineering. Bruce has worked in the corrosion and cathodic protection industry since 1982, forming Bruce Ackland and Associates in 1985. Cathodic protection projects have involved work throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia, SE Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and the USA. Bruce has recently retired but tries to keep his brain from fading by maintaining an active role as a member and chairman in Australian Standards committees; participates in relevant ISO standards working groups; is the current Chairman of the Australian Electrolysis Committee and is an accredited ACA Corrosion Technologist.
