The Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) New South Wales Young Corrosion Group (YCG) is pleased to invite YCG, ACA members, industry professionals, students, and anyone with an interest in digital engineering and asset integrity to join us for an engaging evening of technical presentations and networking.
This session will provide an introduction to how digital engineering technologies, including drones, 3D scanning, and digital modelling software, are transforming the way corrosion and asset investigations are undertaken. Attendees will gain insight into how these innovative tools are improving inspection accuracy, enhancing data capture, supporting informed decision making, and delivering safer and more efficient project outcomes.
Featuring presentations from industry experts representing Freyssinet and Infracorr, this event promises to showcase a wealth of knowledge and practical experience. Presentation titles and abstracts will be released soon, and we look forward to sharing more details in the coming weeks.

Paolo Alegro – Infracorr
Presentation Title: TBC
Bio: Paolo is a Materials/Remedial Engineer with over four years of specialised experience in the corrosion prevention and remediation industry. He has undertaken condition assessments of civil and marine infrastructure, including wharves, bridges, buildings and facades, both on site and through digital twin models. His work has involved diagnostic investigations to identify deterioration mechanisms and recommend appropriate remedial actions. Through this experience, Paolo has developed a strong understanding of remedial design and specifications for concrete, facade and waterproofing upgrades.
Ruben Johnson
Presentation Title: From Digital Inspection to Smarter Repairs: The Power of Data-Driven Engineering
Bio: Engineering Technologist – Experienced in materials testing across carparks, bridges and building structures, with practical capability in advanced non-destructive testing, concrete investigations, corrosion risk assessment and client-facing technical support.

Presentation Title: From Digital Inspection to Smarter Repairs: The Power of Data-Driven Engineering
Bio: Principal Engineer – Principal Engineer with 10 years of professional experience in advanced material assessment, combining non-destructive testing technologies with structural analysis across marine, commercial, tunnelling, heritage and new development sectors in Australia and Singapore.
Jamie Wilton – Freyssinet
Presentation Title: TBC
Bio: National Remedial Drafting Manager – Over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. Specialised drafting and digital engineering across building, civil and remedial projects, covering bridges, buildings, wharves, power stations, reservoirs and treatment plants. Fabrication shop drawings, technical details, model coordination, 3D visualisation, RPA licensed drone surveying and photogrammetry. Delivering digital engineering solutions from concept to construction.
