The VIC branch of the ACA and the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing presented this webinar on Non-Destructive Testing given by Glen Haberl (AICIS Pty Ltd) (Prerecorded).

The presentation consists of three parts. The first reviewing conventional Non-destructive testing (NDT) methods including Visual testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Eddy current testing (ET), Ultrasonic testing (UT) and radiographic testing (RT). The second topic covers advanced NDT methods such as 3D laser scanning, computed and digital radiography, advanced eddy current such as pulsed eddy current and saturated low-frequency eddy current, Magnetic flux leakage, Phased array ultrasonics (PAUT), time of flight diffraction (TOFD) and long-range UT. The third part covers applications of NDT methods and includes common corrosion and erosion mechanisms, selecting the right method and understanding capabilities and limitations of methods.
