Presenters
Melinda Coles | Sustainability Scheme Manager | Australian Steel Institute
Melinda is a sustainability professional with broad expertise across the ESG sector including renewable energy policy, business sustainability, carbon emission reduction and greenhouse gas abatement, development assessment and construction environmental management. With more than 20 years in the sustainability industry, she has worked on landmark developments such as Sydney’s Cross City Tunnel, led NSW’s highest energy using companies to reduce carbon emissions under the Energy Savings Scheme, and managed the Better Business Partnership program on Sydney’s upper north shore. Melinda is excited to now work with the Australian Steel Institute and be managing it’s Steel Sustainability Australia certification program. She sees the program as the mechanism to transform the steel industry to ensure the built environment is sustainable in the future.
