The Australasian Corrosion Association Inc (ACA) recently awarded PTT Public Co. of Thailand one of our annual ACA industry awards to recognise the company for its ongoing commitment to corrosion training and the professional development of their employees.
PTT is a Thailand based, state-owned oil and energy company with the largest market capitalisation on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. To have such a prestigious Thailand organisation continuously investing in their staff development speaks volumes of an employer and organisation committed to raising the professional standards of their employees, and more broadly the industries in which they operate.
Throughout the Australasian region the Thai company allocated more student days of training in ACA delivered training programs than that of any other organisation in 2019.
Twenty students completed the NACE Cathodic Protection Level 1 – Tester and Level 2 – Technician certification courses over a two-week period from September 23 to October 4, 2019 under the tutelage of NACE lecturers Mr Chris Ringas and Mr Bob Phang. The training organised by Mr Naphol Rochanadumrongkul of PTT’s Natural Gas Transmission department was delivered at the Chonburi Operations Center training facility in Thailand.
We congratulate PTT on the award. PTT have consistently supported the ACA / NACE training and certification programs in Thailand by committing their personnel to our public courses or scheduling ACA / NACE private in-house courses run from PTT’s own training facilities in Rayong and Chonburi. The ACA & NACE are very appreciative of PTT’s support and look forward to a continued and ongoing association.
